Special Events, which include Hay Rides, Story-telling by the
bonfire, marshmallow roasts, workshops and featured entertainment.

In a country setting, Tonkawaya Ranch
offers a romantic setting and a restful respite while you
enjoy the many attractions available in Fredericksburg Texas. We are
centrally located to access the many
wineries in the area, Wildseed Farms, and Fredericksburg Trade Days.
And of course, when you leave our beautiful hill country setting,
you are a short trip down the road to Main
Street, Fredericksburg and its wonderful shopping and fine
dining.
Each of our independent cabins is fully furnished in a Hill Country
Theme. Tucked into the hillside, the cedar
cabins each have optimum views, a private bath with shower,
front porches with seating, heating and air conditioning, ceiling
fans, and guest parking. Small kitchenettes are equipped with coffee
pot, small refrigerator and microwave, and copper kitchen sink.
Each kitchen is fully equipped for
your convenience, including coffee, cocoa and teas for your
enjoyment at any time.
Scrumptious breakfasts are delivered
to your door on weekend mornings, and upon request for weekday
visits. Flat panel TV’s have DVD players and movies are provided in
room. Cable television is not available.
For 2011, Tonkawaya Ranch Bed and Breakfast Cabins provide Wi-Fi
access. Radios with CD player are provided for your
enjoyment. All Cabins have comfortable front porches with seating to
enjoy the beautiful views.
 Our
Fredericksburg area cabins are equipped with
new, comfortable beds and fine linens.
Cedar walls with vaulted ceilings provide the western style Hill
Country interiors with ambiance. The
Honeymoon Cabin is furnished with king sized bed, vintage
“wedding” furnishings, and custom bedding that includes down filled
coverlet. The Hill Country Cabin has
a queen bed, regional artwork, handcrafted quilts and local antique
furnishings. The Cowboy Cabin is
also furnished with a queen bed, handcrafted Hickory and iron
furniture, and artwork featuring our hill country life.
The Windmill Cabin has two beds and
can sleep four persons, and is tastefully furnished in soothing
Cottage style. Cabins are carefully
maintained and frequently updated to provide the optimum
comfort for our guests.
Whether you choose to sit on your private
porch and read a book,
 barbeque
or play horse shoes in the guest corral, or take a dip in the
“Cowboy Hot Tub” (the old-fashioned kind!! no jets - a metal
rancher’s tub filled with fresh water warmed by the sun, and a sure
Photo Moment!), relax in a hammock
provided just for you, or enjoy a roaring
bonfire in the evening, Tonkawaya Ranch Bed and Breakfast
Cabins are a unique get-away from the fast pace and crowds.
This Fredericksburg Texas Ranch is named for the some of the
earliest Native American settlers in Central Texas. Our name is a
Wichita name meaning “The people who stay
together”. Tonkawa Indians were important during Texas
settlement times and played a significant role in aiding the Texas
military to establish our State.
