Fredericksburg, Texas. Tonkawaya Ranch Bed and Breakfast Cabins
offer a true Texas Hill Country experience. On clear days,
the views from the cabins extend almost 30 miles across pastures and
far distant hills. Stargazing is a must, and the comfortable guest
corral located adjacent to the cabins offers a comfortable place to
sit and enjoy the deer, turkey, and longhorn cattle that live on the
ranch.
Tonkawaya Ranch is a Fredericksburg TX bed and breakfast that's just a short drive to
many local attractions. We are
centrally located to access the wineries between Stonewall and
Fredericksburg. Wildseed Farms and Fredericksburg Trade Days are
also within easy access. And of course, when you leave the gates of
the ranch on RR1631, it is a direct road to Main Street
Fredericksburg, TX where you will find wonderful shopping and fine
dining.
Each of the four cabins is fully furnished
in a Hill Country theme. Tucked into the hillside, with lovely
views, the cedar cabins each have a private bath with shower,
heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, and front porches to
enjoy the scenery. Small kitchens are equipped with dishes
and silverware, coffee pot and microwave, small refrigerator and
copper kitchen sinks. Scrumptious breakfasts are delivered to your
door on weekend mornings. Tonkawaya Ranch serves a variety of
breakfasts using locally grown produce and fresh farm eggs.
Refrigerators are stocked with water and juice. Flat panel TVs have
DVD players and movies in each cabin. Cable television is not
available.
All cabins are equipped with new, comfortable beds and fine linens.
The Honeymoon Cabin is furnished
with a king-size bed, vintage cottage furnishings, regional artwork,
and rocking chairs on the front porch. The
Hill Country Cabin has a queen bed, regional artwork and
antiques, and an old-fashioned front porch glider.
The Cowboy Cabin is also furnished
with a queen bed, handcrafted Hickory and iron furniture, and
spacious Texas sized rockers on the front porch.
The Windmill Cabin has two beds and
can sleep four persons. Regional art represents Texas Windmill
settings and the cabin is tastefully decorated in cottage antiques.
An open area Guest Corral completes your hill country experience.
Whether you choose to barbeque in the smoker/grill, enjoy the
"Cowboy Hot Tub" (the old fashioned kind!! no jets!), layback in the
Adirondack chairs and stargaze, or build a comfortable fire in the
pit, this private area is available for our guests to enjoy.
Portable hammocks are also located beside the cabins for a lazy nap
among the live oaks.
Our Fredericksburg TX bed and breakfast ranch is named for the earliest Native American settlers in
Central Texas. It is a Wichita name meaning "The people who stay
together". Tonkawa
Indians were important during Texas settlement times and played
a significant role in aiding the Texas military to establish our
State.
